2018 is already shaping up to be a pretty solid year at the movies, but there is a whole lot more to look forward to next year. With that in mind, we’ve pored over the release calendar and scoured the planet for news and details to bring you this list of the most anticipated 2019 movies. Plenty of the upcoming movies are long-anticipated sequels, prequels, and reboots – think Zombieland 2, Dark Phoenix, Toy Story 4, and John Wick: Parabellum – and there are a ton of hotly anticipated remakes, too: The Lion King and Dumbo among them. Be sure to keep an eye out for some stellar-sounding originals, like the adaptation of The Goldfinch and Elton John biopic, Rocketman. After the stunning events of Avengers: Infinity War, you might think the Marvel Cinematic Universe is winding down. On the contrary, Marvel Studios continues to plan out new MCU adventures into 2020, and beyond. Since the studio was born from Marvel Comics — the self-proclaimed House of Ideas — the possibilities are truly endless. From prehistoric jungle protectors to a group of Guardians 1,000 years in the future, thousands of characters are still waiting to be discovered as the MCU heads into its fourth and fifth phases. Some of these have already been announced, while others have been tacitly revealed by Marvel Studios while making no firm announcement — there is a slew of “untitled” MCU projects coming our way. (We have not included Fox’s X-Men and X-Force films, or Sony’s MCU-“adjunct” films, like Venom, produced in association with Marvel Entertainment.) Below is a handy list of those Marvel Studios movies set for release in the not-too-distant future and beyond. First, we dig d...

How to Learn to Swim as an Adult

Image
You know, yesterday I saw a comment on swimming class as below which most of people are thinking about: "I am an adult that never learned to swim. Part of my issue has always been that I don’t float. Now, some of you are going to laugh or call bullshit and that’s fine, I get it. But seriously, I don’t float. Any time I’ve gone in the water and people have tried to teach me how to swim, the first thing they try to do is get me to float and you know what happens? I sink like a stone. I also have major issues with my face being submerged in water, I can’t stand it. Even just washing my face in the shower is sometimes an ordeal. So yeah, at 32 years of age I’ve pretty much accepted that swimming is a no-go for me. Recommended: Swimming Freestyle smooth. Throw away your other recipes—here’s the perfect fruit crumble

Image
As you might know if you have subscribed my cuckoo channel and watched regularly, I am a big fan of pie and pie-related things. Under the latter category: the fruit crumble. There’s really no better way to use up your blueberry-picking bounty or the multitude of apples from that recent orchard excursion. There are as many crumble recipes, though, as there are pear varietals: Yours is probably great, because it’s a crumble, but what about one that’s really exemplary? Search no longer, because here it is. It comes to us from Shelley Young, founder of The Chopping Block, a cooking school and retail store in Chicago. Shelley is friends with my husband. And she’s a really good friend to have, the kind who brings astonishingly good white wine from Aldi for dinner, as well as desserts that grown-ass adults will wrestle over. The last time we saw Shelley, she brought this amazing blueberry crumble, so I soon hounded her for the recipe.  Recommended: Halloween  Feet Loaf - Decent...
